Beautiful vintage Egyptian Revival scarab necklace featuring a hand-carved stone scarab amulet with hieroglyph-style markings on the underside. The pendant is carved from soapstone/steatite, the same material used for many traditional scarab amulets, and shows clear hand-tool detailing rather than molded lines.
The necklace is strung with green serpentine (or jadeite-style) stone beads and long silver-plated tribal tube beads, with a classic mid-century screw-barrel clasp. This style was popular in the 1950s–1970s and sold through Egyptian museum shops, Middle Eastern bazaars, and import boutiques.
Scarab amulets symbolize protection, rebirth, and good fortune, making this both a meaningful and highly collectible piece.
