An extremely rare Untreated Pleiochroic Lazurite from Rapid Creek, Yukon Territory, Canada. This now closed locality produced the finest Lazurite ever discovered. It was just about impossible to get to and extremely expensive to make the treck. One would have to charter a private plane, then get on a 4 wheeler and go white water rafting. To my knowledge its the most difficult locality to get to and from that there is. This specimen is gemmy and well terminated with good pleiochroism. This material is extremely rare and increasingly scarce on the market since the mines closure.
