Rare, fully natural seraphinite crystal cluster slab from eastern Siberia in Russia. Seraphinite is an uncommon, crystallized form the silicate mineral clinochlore, also known as angel wing stone. This high quality, top grade gem has amazing chatoyancy and saturated, banded emerald green coloring. The crystal face has been hand polished to a glassy shine (while the sides and back left rough) to show off the intricate natural banding and patterns. The lustrous crystal shows a deep green background with chatoyant, lighter green to teal and silver iridescent inclusions in feather like patterns. While usually opaque, this crystal shows areas of translucency, allowing some light through the stone, giving it a bright glow when backlit. A gorgeous Russian display specimen measuring approx 7 by 4.5 cm wide and tall, 1 cm thick.
