This is a 501XX 1955 reproduction model. It faithfully reproduces the details of the time, such as the diamond-point Arcuate stitch using yellow thread called "banana yellow," the red tab that changed from one-sided to double-sided embroidery, the early paper patch with the copy "Every Garment Guaranteed," and the watch pocket with red selvedge. In particular, this paper patch was changed from a genuine leather patch to a non-shrinking paper patch due to the spread of dryers at the time. It is a detail that proves that the 501 has evolved with the times.
