This is a rare bolt of Japanese-made Kurume Kasuri fabric.
Originally, this fabric was used to make domestically produced women's "monpe" (work pants) for many years.
It was purchased directly from the manufacturer, and even then, the cost of acquisition was quite high.
This item is unused, so there are no creases, wrinkles, or pinholes.
Because it is a properly woven Kasuri fabric,
the pattern appears clearly on the reverse side as well.
(Unlike inexpensive printed fabrics)
It is stored in the manufacturing factory,
so there may be a slight odor.
For those who understand old fabrics and "boro" (patchwork textiles), thank you for your understanding.
