Extra large, vibrant purple amethyst cluster. Fantastic color, great size with phantoms and multiple generations of growth seen in the form of tiny newer growth crystals around the base of each larger crystal. There are hints of green chlorite around the underside and the crystal terminations have nice lustre.
Guerrero amethysts are some of the most famous amethyst specimens in the world. They were first mined in Amatitlan, Mexico in 1930. Guerrero amethysts are famous for their distinct purple zoning.
Metaphysically, amethyst is thought to help enhance intuition, reduce anxiety, and help with sleep.
This crystal cluster is large - measuring 5.5” across and about 3” tall. It weighs 2lbs, 4oz. There are some broken points on this cluster (which can be see from top down photos), so it is not perfect, but remains a beautiful collectors piece.
