This is a highly sought-after 144, which was discontinued over a decade ago and is no longer available new.
This particular pen is an early model manufactured in the early 1980s, and features an ebonite feed, rather than the cost-reduced resin feed found in later models.
Furthermore, it's the even rarer Bordeaux color. Although the section is black, this is normal for early Bordeaux models, as the section was black from new.
The successor model, the 145, has a screw-on cap, while this one has a snap-on cap, making it more convenient to use.
The nib width is extra fine, the most popular size, making it easy to write fine lines.
The pen is in excellent condition, with no cracks, chips, or malfunctions, and no engraved name.
