Antique African trade beads French cross necklace. Beautiful vibrant yellow French Cross beads and small glass beads of red and blue. Most likely made in Venice and traded in Africa in the late 1800s and early 1900s, there is much history and complicated stories involving these beads. Hard to pinpoint exact origins. Some minor pitting and wear consistent with age but overall still in good condition. Measures approximately 17” in length.
